When emergencies happen outside of business hours, it's important for our clients to be able to receive assistance. Whether a Representative needs to reach CGMA-HQ after hours, or a client needs to seek aid from a sister agency, CGMA has a plan for our clients in times of need.
If a client seeks help from a Representative, but CGMAHQ is closed and the amount of the request is outside of the Representative's threshold, CGMA has an emergency cell phone number that Representatives may call for approval authority. This phone number is meant for Representatives use only and not to be given to clients. It can be found on the Welcome page after logging on to CMP. The after-hours number should be used for urgent matters only, and not for general assistance that can wait until the following business day.
Clients who need assistance and are unable to reach a Representative may contact the American Red Cross onine or by calling 877-272-7337. The American Red Cross is equipped to help Coast Guard members and their families with emergency travel and other urgent situations. Through a reciprocal agreement, CGMA reimburses the Red Cross for assistance funds provided our clients, and will bill clients directly.
